Hidden Hollow Resident Camp

HIDDEN HOLLOW RESIDENT CAMP

Hidden Hollow Camp is for children ages 8-15 and provides every camper with a well-rounded overnight camp experience. Campers plan their own day with a wide variety of activities offered, including: swimming, horse trail rides, arts and crafts, tennis and court games, nature activity, archery, woodshop, dramatics, canoeing and fishing, and sports and field games.  Evening activities include campfires, cabin skits, night swims, and the Hidden Hollow Hop on Friday night.

HHC also runs a Jr. Camp Program for children who have completed Kindergarten and are ages 6-8 who want to experience camp without having to spend a week away from home. Activities are tailored to fit smaller campers who come for three days and two nights.  

Hidden Hollow also has a KP program for current and former campers who are at least 15 years old.  KPs can also be 16.  KPs register just like a camper and select a week.  Those campers that are interested in being a KP during a week at camp should also contact Ms. Monica, Camp Director.  Children who KP are volunteers and learn more about what it is like to work at a summer camp, while earning 40 hours of volunteer time.  KPs help in the kitchen set up and serve meals as well as clean up after meals.  For additional information click on the HHC website link below.

Please note – the Camp Weeks and Special Days will be set soon for the 2026 season.  Your campers should expect special events on one of the camp days that match the theme that is listed.  Your camper is welcome to plan on a costume that may match that theme!  

STATEMENT OF CAMP GOALS

The goals of Hidden Hollow Camp revolve around our purpose of providing a safe, enjoyable and educational experience in social living in the out-of-doors for boys and girls of varied social, economic, religious, and ethnic backgrounds.  Campers share experiences in winning, losing, creating, making friends, developing mentally, socially, physically, and spiritually.

Specific Goals for Campers:

    • Become acquainted with their environment
    • Experience individual growth and development
    • Discover their own potential
    • Exercise personal initiative
    • Live and work together
    • Develop new interests
    • Develop understanding, meaning and value relating to the camp experience
    • Enjoy camping

HIDDEN HOLLOW CAMP DISCOUNTS will return for the 2026 Season!

  • Multi-Week Discount: for each additional week your camper attends Hidden Hollow, there will be a $50 discount toward your balance.  For example: one week at Hidden Hollow is $450.  Two weeks at HHC is $850.  Three weeks is $1250.  Adjustments are automatic on the application system based upon the number of weeks your camper is enrolled.  NOTE: this discount may not be used with other discounts OR coupon codes.
  • Refer A Camper Discount: for each NEW camper referred and attending camp, the returning camper will receive a $50 credit toward their camp week – WITH NO LIMITS.  A new camper is defined as a camper that has not attended Hidden Hollow Camp previously.  No limits means if you refer three new campers and they attend camp, you will receive a $150 discount toward your campers week at HHC.  If you refer 9 new campers and they attend camp – your camper will attend HHC for FREE! Discounts are not granted if the camper does not attend.  The new camper must attend the same week as the referring camper.  The new camper must be from a different household.  Siblings do not qualify for this discount.  All camp fees must be paid before payment deadlines for all parties.  Note: this discount may not be used with other discounts OR coupon codes.  

FINANCIAL AID – ‘CAMPERSHIPS’

Friendly House is a non-profit located in Mansfield, Ohio and has been in operation since the 1890’s. As the parent organization of Hidden Hollow Camp, Friendly House offers financial assistance in the form of a ‘Campership’ for those families that reside in Richland County, Ohio, and are in financial need. Campership forms must be completed and approved prior to your campers enrollment.  There is additional information on the FAQ tab on the Hidden Hollow Camp page linked below.  If you have questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to Friendly House.  We are here to help and want as many children to experience camp as possible.
